Whole-wheat flour, like all whole grains, is a good source of carbohydrates and will help you be alert and keep you in a good mood throughout the morning. It is also a good source of fiber which will boost satiety and keep you full for longer.
Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour
½ cup oats
¼ tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
2 egg whites/ or full
1 cup milk of your choice
1 ripe banana
1 spoon cocoa powder
½ cup thick yogurt
1 tsp vanilla essence
Directions:
- DRY MIX: Toss flour, oats, baking powder and cinnamon
- WET MIX: In another bowl mix egg and milk and whisk. Then add yogurt, banana, coco, vanilla to the mix.
- Add the dry mix to the wet mix and stir it to combine all the ingredients. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
- Spread some ghee or butter on a non-stick pan. Make small pancakes (not like dosa).
- Top it with honey and have fun!
Tips:
You can replace 1 egg with either
- 1/4 cup mashed banana (very ripe bananas will increase sweetness so be cautious) or
- 1 teaspoon baking soda + 1 tablespoon vinegar. Combine separately, then add to recipe for fluffier pancakes.
