K is for Kairi in summers and Anshita shared this chutney with us to savour during summers.



Ingredients

1 kairi (raw green mango)

Oil

Jeera

Fenugreek seeds

Salt

Red chili powder

Turmeric powder

½ cup sugar or jaggery

Directions:

  1. Take the kairi and slice it first then cut it into pieces.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil. To it, add jeera, fenugreek seeds, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder & the chopped kairi. Cook with lid covered.
  3. Add ½ cup sugar or jaggery. Cook for 5-10 minutes till it gets a little thick and brown. Have it as a side with your meal.
