Ingredients

1 cup watermelon, cut in cubes
3-4 mint leaves, shredded
1 tablespoon lemon juice
¼ cup soda (or water)
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon cracked black pepper

Directions:

  1. Whisk the ingredients in a blender till watermelon chunks have completely blended in with the lemon and mint leaves.
  2. Create a salt-sugar rim on the glass: In a flat plate, add ½ teaspoon each of salt and sugar. Moisten the rim of a glass with a cut lemon and dip it in the salt-sugar mix to create a rim.
  3. Add cubes of ice (optional) to the rimmed glass and top with the watermelon cooler.

Tips:

Watermelon juice tends to separate and settle at the top, it’s best to make this cooler prior to consumption and serve it along with a stirrer in the glass.
